Stop Cappin Entertainment capped off Black History Month with a thrilling All-Star Basketball Game, featuring a matchup between Team Dream and Team Vision. The event, held at the UCF Education Complex and Gym, brought together organizations like Alpha Kappa Psi and Alpha Phi Alpha for a night of competition and celebration of Black excellence.

R&B artist Cyn added to the excitement with a halftime performance. In a close game, Team Dream triumphed over Team Vision with a 46-44 victory, marking the end of an unforgettable evening.

UCF Caps merges with BetterMynd to offer Telehealth

UCF CAPS has partnered with BetterMynd to offer free telemental health therapy services to students who pay the health fee.

This story dives into details about BetterMynd including how it provides 50-minute, confidential video sessions with licensed counselors, accessible via laptop, smartphone, or tablet. This partnership allows students to find counselors with specific specialties or demographics, offering greater flexibility and support throughout the semester.

New Arcade near UCF pushes the Popularity of Blindboxes

Mirai Arcade, a new Japan-based claw arcade in Waterford Lakes near UCF, is bringing the growing trend of blind boxes to Orlando. These vending systems offer players a random prize, creating excitement and anticipation.

The arcade features a variety of machines, including plushies, blind boxes, gacha pons, and other collectibles. With a focus on reasonable prices and limited-edition items, Mirai Arcade is quickly becoming a hotspot for collectors and arcade enthusiasts.

Employees like Christine Van highlight the arcade's appeal to a wide audience, while customers like Felipe Min share how the gacha pon machines and blind boxes keep people coming back for more.

American Marketing Association launches "Pegasus Promotions"

The American Marketing Association announced the launch of UCF’s first-ever student-run marketing agency.

According to Pegasus Promotions’ Instagram page, Pegasus Promotions is A-M-A’s in-house marketing agency, dedicated to providing marketing services to small businesses and non-profits.

The agency not only aims to support local enterprises, but it also seeks to offer UCF students hands-on experience in the field of social media marketing.

UCF v. UF Gameday Shuttle

Carpooling or bus services like RedCoach and Greyhound are a few of the ways students can safely attend the game.

More recently, Orlando’s Bounce House and Gainesville’s MacDinton’s present a gameday shuttle as another option for students.

According to Posh.vip, tickets are $100 each and include round trip transportation, beverages, free entry, and line skipping at MacDinton’s.

The bus will depart from Bounce House at 10 a.m. and later depart from MacDinton’s at 11:30 p.m.

Bengali Student Association host first Mock Gaye Holud

Students wearing festive sarees, lehengas and kurtas scattered around the Pegasus Ballroom on Friday night for the Bengali Student Association's first mock Gaye Holud.

According to Nabila Trend and Traditions, a Gaye Holud is a festive Bengali wedding ceremony filled with song, dance, laughter and food. The term translates to “turmeric on the body” to signify a beautification and cleansing process.
